The Great Mayan Prediction: True or False?
For thousands of years people have tried to predict the end
of the world. Some famous predictions include the year 1000 A.D., a prediction
made by the Europeans. The year 1946 A.D. was predicted by Sir Isaac Newton, and
of course Y2K. Now, many people believe that the end of the world will end on
21 December 2012. Believers base this on the fact that the Mayan calendar ends
on that date. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe they ran out of room on
the stone? Maybe they got tired and said “F*** it. They get the pattern”. I
know I would say that. Besides that, we are only assuming that this is the
message. Did the Mayans put that in writing? No. Of course not. Because it’s
stupid to think that. On that note, is there even any other evidence that
proves this end-of-the-world theory? I didn’t think so. I think the Mayans
would have been would have been smart enough to give more hints if they really
believed that. Let us skip forward to present day Earth. In Nostradamus’ book
of quatrains, he predicted disastrous events which could very well lead to
Earth’s destruction. Only a few of these events have occurred and on a small
scale. If the end of the world was near, wouldn’t all three anti-Christ have
shown their faces by now? Wouldn’t the seventh seal have been broken? Wouldn’t
there be more disasters? After all, this planet is pretty big and it can’t
possibly be destroyed in one day. Besides, Marty McFly travelled to 2015. Case
proven.
